PEORIA HEIGHTS INVITE The Rebels Cross Country teams finished their regular season meet schedule on Saturday October 13 at Detweiller Park in Peoria participating in the Peoria Heights Invite. It was a good afternoon for both the Boys and Girls teams with 7 of the 13 runners setting new Personal Best. The Girls got the afternoon started by finishing 11th out of 30 teams. Olivia Frail (19:23) was the first Rebel Girl to finish. Rounding out the Girls scorers were Ashley Orrick (20:16), Josie Price (20:33), Lena Becker (21:24) and Sarah Fairfield (23:33). Trinity Shimmin (23:36) also ran for the Girls. Ashley, Lena and Sarah set new Personal Best for the Girls. The Boys ran their best race of the year finishing 32nd out of 42 teams. Leading the way for the Boys was Riley Down (18:12) followed by fellow scorers Alex Welch (18:17), Dawson Dyken (18:21), Payton Stahl (19:42) and Caden Daum (19:51). Also running for the Boys were Colby Carroll (20:05) and Jack Winans (20:16). Payton, Caden, Colby and Jack all ran their Personal Best in the race. Congratulations to all runners for a great day of running!! There were 247 finishers from 54 schools in the Girls race and 323 finishers from 61 school in the Boys race.
